08Health & Safety Risk Assessment
Risk Assessment · Health & Safety Risk Assessment
Identifying hazards is an essential part of safety risk assessment. If the harms of safety accidents are not fully identified, it is impossible to assess the risk of each hazard or to control them effectively.
Safety risk assessment provides the baseline data for effective safety management, evaluates hazard points across environments and periods, and through educational, administrative, technical and supervisory measures makes every level of staff take safety seriously — so that most safety incidents can be avoided. It follows three steps: ① identify the hazards, ② assess the risks, ③ control and manage the risks.
- Hazardous materials: types of flammable/explosive materials, where and how many, and whether they are properly managed
- High-risk processes: work at height, high temperature, flammable operations and effectiveness of safety programmes
- Electrical safety: compliant installation, overloaded sockets, ageing wiring, anti-static measures, regular maintenance
- Housekeeping: accumulation of combustibles, misplaced materials, scaffolding stability
- Environmental hazards: immediate evacuation routes, ability to cut off power at once
- Alarm devices: availability and working condition
- Others: additional risks from contractors' tools and materials
09Labor Risk Assessment
Risk Assessment · Labor Risk Assessment
Labor risk assessment is an authoritative, professional and systematic employment-risk solution. Through software application it provides comprehensive legal risk assessment and diagnosis for employers. GTC assesses all processes and procedures in the enterprise's employment management, so the enterprise knows its labor risks in advance, quantifies their possible impact and loss, and receives reference solutions to solve problems proactively.
- Comprehensively identify potential employment risks
- Analyse shortcomings in employment operation
- Assess probability of occurrence and possible negative impact

10Product Quality Risk Assessment
Risk Assessment · Product Quality Risk Assessment
Product quality risk refers to the possibility that product quality will be reduced or the product rejected by the customer due to various predictable or unexpected reasons. When certain defects have limited impact, or the impact costs less than delayed delivery and rework, a release decision arises in design review — this is product quality risk assessment.
- Effectively reduce company cost and resource waste
- Let designers focus on more urgent problems in development or production
- Eliminate unnecessary rework
- Involve technical, inspection and sales people so every problem is treated from the user's point of view

System Certification · FSC Forest Management Certification
FSC Forest Management certification confirms that a specific area of forest is being managed in line with the FSC Principles and Criteria. To achieve it, the forest manager or owner contracts with an FSC-accredited certification body or joins a Forest Management Group; in either case the forest is audited to FSC's Forest Management standards. GTC also provides FSC Chain of Custody (COC) audit services.
15EU Forced Labour Regulation Compliance Audit (EU 2024/3015)
Audit Services · EU Forced Labour Regulation Compliance Audit (EU 2024/3015)
Regulation (EU) 2024/3015 prohibiting products made with forced labour on the Union market was published on 12 December 2024 and entered into force on 13 December 2024. It applies from 14 December 2027: products made with forced labour, in whole or in part, may not be placed on, made available on, or exported from the EU market. It covers all products (services excluded), all origins and all economic operators — manufacturers, importers, distributors, retailers and online sellers.
Enforcement is risk-based. Where suspected forced labour occurs outside the EU, the European Commission leads the investigation; where it occurs within a Member State, that state's authority does. The preliminary phase lasts 30 working days and a formal investigation should normally conclude within 9 months. If a violation is established, the product is banned from the market and must be withdrawn, delisted or disposed of (or the forced-labour component destroyed where it is replaceable); the decision is recognised by all 27 Member States, and penalties are set by each Member State.
- 13 Dec 2024 · Regulation (EU) 2024/3015 enters into force
- 26 Jun 2026 · European Commission publishes implementing guidelines C(2026) 4386 final
- 14 Dec 2027 · Full application: forced-labour products barred from the EU market
- Supply-chain risk screening:Maps forced-labour risk by product, process, origin and supplier tier, flagging high-risk points such as labour brokers, dispatched workers, student workers, piece-rate overtime, deposits and document retention.
- On-site audit:Assessed against the three elements of ILO Convention No. 29 and SMETA / ETI methodology: recruitment and brokers, identity documents and deposits, freedom of movement, hours and wages, voluntary overtime, young workers, disciplinary measures, dormitories and site management.
- Document and record review:Consistency checks across employment contracts, attendance and payroll records, broker agreements and fee receipts, dispatch / internship / student-worker agreements, and resignation and grievance records.
- Extended supplier review:Tier-1 and tier-2 suppliers, subcontracting and outsourced processes, identifying hidden risk in sub-contracted and home-based work.
- Corrective action and re-audit:Non-conformity list and CAPA plan, followed up and re-audited to close the loop.
- Audit report and evidence pack:A bilingual audit report with site photographs, interview records and sampling notes — ready to submit to EU customers, importers or authorities.
16EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) Due Diligence Verification
Audit Services · EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) Due Diligence Verification
Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 on deforestation-free products (EUDR) repeals the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR). It covers seven commodities — soy, cattle, oil palm, wood, cocoa, coffee and natural rubber — and derived products such as leather, chocolate, tyres, furniture and paper. Operators and traders must show that products are simultaneously: ① deforestation-free, i.e. produced on land not subject to deforestation or forest degradation after 31 December 2020; ② produced in accordance with the relevant legislation of the country of production; ③ covered by a due diligence statement (DDS).
Application dates (as amended by Regulation (EU) 2025/2650): large and medium operators from 30 December 2026; micro and small operators from 30 June 2027, except micro and small operators already covered by the EUTR, which remain at 30 December 2026. Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/2102 of 17 September 2026 amended Annex I: certain palm-oil derivatives were added (applying from 30 December 2027) while raw cattle hides and skins, certain vulcanised rubber articles and soybeans for sowing were removed. The final text in the Official Journal and the HS/CN codes in Annex I prevail.
How the audit works: EUDR is built on three due diligence steps — information collection, risk assessment and risk mitigation — and competent authorities set inspection rates according to country risk benchmarking (low / standard / high). The geolocation of plots in the DDS (polygon or point) is decisive: accuracy, plots crossing boundaries and completeness of coverage determine whether the statement stands. GTC traces the supply chain through to plot-level verification, so that the DDS rests on evidence that can be checked rather than on self-declaration alone.
- 29 Jun 2023 · EUDR enters into force
- 23 Dec 2025 · Regulation (EU) 2025/2650 published — obligations simplified, application postponed
- 30 Dec 2026 · applies to large and medium operators (and SMEs already under the EUTR)
- 30 Jun 2027 · applies to micro and small operators
- Product classification and supply-chain mapping:Determines whether products fall within Annex I by HS/CN code, and maps the role and responsibility of each link from forest or farm to exporter (operator / trader / downstream operator).
- Plot geolocation verification:Verifies plot boundaries in WGS84, corrects coordinate systems and format conversions (including CGCS2000 and Gauss-Krüger local coordinates), checks area against species or crop, and compares satellite imagery for deforestation or degradation after 2020.
- Legal compliance evidence review:Reviews the completeness of felling permits, land and tenure rights, transport and processing documents, tax receipts, and labour rights and free, prior and informed consent (FPIC) under the law of the country of production.
- Risk assessment and mitigation:Assesses risk against country benchmarking, supply-chain complexity and commodity characteristics, producing risk levels, mitigation measures and retained records to demonstrate due diligence.
- DDS submission support:Supports preparation of the data a DDS requires (commodity and quantity, country of production, geolocation, suppliers, upstream reference numbers) and cross-checks the filing against audit findings.
- Management system and training:Establishes an EUDR management procedure, supplier approval and annual review mechanism and record-retention rules, with tailored training for procurement, export sales and quality teams.
- Audit report and evidence index:A bilingual audit report, geolocation schedule and evidence index — ready for DDS filing, customer due diligence and competent-authority inspections.
